Magic Blocks.

or technically magnetic wooden blocks.

I suppose these are intended for children, but who's to say adults can't play too? Hop on over to Tegu to check out their virtual refrigerator to see what people are creating with these wooden blocks with a twist.

This would take jenga to an entirely different level.

A Hairy Situation.

Attraction (2008) from Rachinta Platts on Vimeo.

(via beardrevue via imadeyouabeard)

Cute Fail.

I was perusing Gizmodo a few minutes ago when I came upon this blood sucking vaccine injecting horror named Syrinx.

...and I think Gizmodo says it best:
"Syrinx is a syringe substitute for kids. The designers think that, by making them look like little animals with needles coming out of their noses, they are making syringes kid-friendly. Because, you know, blood sucking animals are so cute"

Then, because this story wasn't creepy enough, the kid gets to take the animal home!

Post Hyjacking.

I just read a post by agirlnamedtor and I find it so perfect I am going to copy the whole thing and paste it in a block quote. So, here it is...
"
i've always had troubles figuring out the personalities of fonts. call me crazy but for some reason i think this helps me. hopefully soon i'll screen print a few into real posters. more to come on that.

*revised version of poster made may 14 due to prior a mr. cooper black impostor 'stache mistake. my apologies. the poster is available for purchase here at Old Tom Foolery"

Photo Calendar.

Check out this photastic DIY wall calender I found at photojojo.

The step by step directions (found here) include sweet little tips like this:
"For sheer indestructibility, you can laminate your photos. Nothing but the Dark Side of the Force will ever be able to harm them and they’ll pretty much last forever."

or this:
While their position in the calendar will shift throughout the year, these numbers will always line up on top of each other in a column.

* 1/8/15/22
* 2/9/16/23
* 3/10/17/24
* 4/11/18/25
* 5/12/19/26
* 6/13/20/27
* 7/14/21/28

(and if you laminate your photos you can write directly on them with dry erase markers instead of using sticky notes! or even use instant photos that don't need an extra lamination)
I can't wait to search for some numbers for my own calendar!

Beware: Booby Strap Ahead.

BLACKRAPID - RS-W1 - Basic Setup & Features from BLACKRAPID on Vimeo.

"the RS-W1 is the world's first camera strap that focuses on the perfect fit for the female"

Some curvature for your aperture. This genius design allows for the camera strap to rest where nature intended, right between the lady bumps. Then the feminist in me appreciates the fact that it is black/grey with only a little frou frou, and that they resisted making it pink or purple!
You can buy it here sometime this month for a er.. mere $59!

Wedded Ring of Photos

This little chunk of happily ever after is a photo projecting ring designed by artist Luke Jerram to give his fiance Shelina Nanji.
When the lights go out or the sun sinks down (ooh la la) they can shine a light on the slide (insert potential future offspring later) and abracadabra! the image is projected through the tiny lens he hacked out of a digital camera.
Unfortunately this one of a kind bling was stolen while they were asleep one night so she is now wearing her "Talking Ring" until he makes her a new one.

They call me a cheapass, I prefer frugal.

The first time I heard this song was under 5 minutes ago. I think I like it. I know I love that it was made on a $500 budget! It reminds me of Ok Go's "Here It Goes Again" video in it's simple magnificence. The only way this video could have been better is if it was shot with a Nikon instead of the Canon 5D Mark II. wink.
If you want to know more about this video and see behind the scenes just click here!

Picture Perfect

Family Photo
This newly wedded couple, Jesscia & Matt, share a smooch under their parent's mock disapproval!

Can I just say I love the new trend of having a homemade photo booth at your wedding? and this one just takes the cake! (ha!)
Oh, and you think this couple's awesomeness ends here do you? Wrong! Their wedding photos were taken in an amusement park with amazing shots on the ferris wheels and slides, there were chalk board thought bubbles to use in the photo booth, and there was an inflatable jousting game! Oh and the wedding program was printed on the back of hand held fans that featured either the bride or grooms black and white face!

A Frozen Proposal

The video is a bit long so, if you want you can skip to around 4 minutes and 20 seconds!
The man (Michael?) told his girlfriend once that he wanted to freeze time when he proposed (and he mentions the Improv Everywhere "Frozen Grand Central" video below) and that is exactly what he makes happen (with the help of WEtv and some sweet spy cameras)!

A Morsel from Eric.

Wow, a big thanks to Eric's employers for not providing him with work so that he may discover beautiful web morsels like this one...

Over at Solutions That Stick you can find the solution to all of your embarrassing stinky fart bombs AKA Subtle Butt. (unfortunately I don't believe it does anything for the sound that often accompanies said poots) Here is their video to show its versatility and their.. accuracy?

and as Gawker points out, this amazing company can also save you from camel toe with Knicker Stickers and sweaty collars with White Collar Grime.
But why stop there? Why not try out Skid Out (an eraser to instantly wipe away pesky deodorant stains and makeup smudges or toothpaste drool), Garment Guard (a sticky cotton patch to prevent pit stains and wet spots), Quick Stick Fixes (fashion tape to prevent gaping bodices, slipping bra straps, busted buttons, and torn tees), and many more...

California Dorks and 7 Year Old Rappers.

"and flux capacitors"

"there is nothing cute about rapping. capisce?

It's Official...

my future offspring will speak french and tell fantastic stories just like this precious big brown eyed English girl.

and yes, she is English but she was taught french as a baby.

Because my school wasn't this cool.

When my brother was a senior he got to dress up as a cheerleader. This is the day I learned he could do a mean back hand spring. My 8 year old self was very impressed... Hell, my 23 year old self is still impressed. When I went to that very same high school ten years later... no powder puff. lame. But even our powder puff (when we had one..) was nothing like this awesomeness.

Graffiti ♥

For some reason I love graffiti. It could be because of the brief time I lived in Barcelona, or maybe it is because I think it is art. So, of course I love this proposal. (and that she has to add her check to it!)
