Tree to Cardboard to Tree.

This. Is. Amazing.
"LiEr of ikat bag constructed this amazing play sculpture in honor of National Reading Month. She and her daughters fell in love with Enid Blyton's The Enchanted Wood trilogy so, with cardboard, LiEr set out to bring the fictional world to life. The entire tree is almost 3 feet tall and has toilet paper tube chutes down that allow its tiny inhabitants to zoom from the top all the way down to the forest floor. And, yes, that's a crank handle at the top to allow them to be pulled back up again in a tiny cardboard basket." Ohdeedoh

Here Comes Santa Claus - A Christmas Video Greeting from Jared Foster on Vimeo.
"Over the course of 3 days, the Fosters shot 6000 photos, animated 200 cotton balls, 72 candy canes, one LARGE bag of skittles and 5 paper cacti all in the name of making the greatest Christmas video greeting ever — no really ever."
Check out the behind the scenes here!

The Colors Duke the Colors!

I know, without a doubt, that I would have wanted this when I was little. eh... If I am being honest with myself, I want one now! Who doesn't want a lamp that changes to the color of whatever it is sitting on? I mean, really?
You can adopt Huey here for only $30!

Epic Commercial.
Who wouldn't love to be in this commercial? and I am not talking about just toddlers... Could you imagine showing up to a set and all your told is "Play with you food, throw it around, knock your plate/bowl on the ground or dump it on your head!" Pure joy.

Fear of Flatulence.
Poor kid. What is any experience in elementary if it doesn't contain a fart or burp or a joke about one of the two?
Oh and while on the subject of farts... It was a lovely morning not too long ago (I think it was Saturday. maybe Friday) and I was having a nice chat with my beau (Eric) when somehow we got on the subject of farts (one of us probably passed some gas) and that merged to "I wonder if you can see farts on thermal cameras..." So we did what any couple would do. I youtubed it. Here is your answer:

A Morsel of Hair Love.
I am really proud of Sesame Street for this one. Such an empowering message for all ages, races, cultures, genders, colors, sizes, lefties/righties/ambidesxties...
Click here to watch the ABC News video about Sesame Street's latest puppet.
It breaks my heart that little girls are wondering why they don't have "good hair." Hopefully images like this adorable puppet will continue to appear and change what defines "good." I mean I already wished I could grow an afro before I saw and heard the "I Love My Hair" video...

A Morsel from Space.
Homemade Spacecraft from Luke Geissbuhler on Vimeo.
"How cool is this family? And who just thinks: "I'm going to send some stuff to space."-- "NO, it will freeze!"-- "Nah! We will just throw some pocket handwarmers in the craft and it will be fine." I love how simple and matter of fact their approach to everything is. Think about how their kids view "space" now compared to the kids that grew up watching the shuttle program roll out. AND It was refreshing to see a father do something with his kids and a weather balloon that wasn't desperate and creepy."

I Prefer My Babies Roasted.

Aww look at the cute little peanut!
urr.. peanut birth looks way more horrifying than human birth. Do peanuts poop peanut butter?
