This Makes Me Uber Happy.

This fantastic article on Jezebel titled: American Apparel's Bankruptcy Is Inevitable is very good news in my book.
"Things have gone from bad to worse for the pants-optional C.E.O. and his t-shirt company. To put it nicely, it's highly probable that the retailer will go bankrupt — and soon. Bluntly: American Apparel is probably f..."
You can read the rest of the article by clicking on the title!

So, hopefully this blatantly sexist company is dying and women all over the world will no longer see themselves as nothing better that a sex toy every time they see one of their ads.

(I did modify this photo, first with the red "no" sign and second with a white box)

Herpes, yum.

I always knew glitter was the herpes of crafts but I didn't know:

Good to know.

Comic Invite.

I saw this on Wedinator a few minutes ago and I think the author of this post pretty much summed up my thoughts:
"If I ignore my initial feminist knee-jerk reaction rooted in a Women’s [Psych] course taken [1.5] years ago, this invite is pretty cool!..I’m just not entirely sure why the groom is represented as a giant badass robot hero while the bride is represented as a scantily clad victim with DDD-sized boobs. But hey! Again, not gonna overanalyze this. Nope. No siree. I simply refuse to acknowledge this image’s blatant disregard for women who do anything but sit around waiting to get “rescued” like some misogynistic wet dream. I just won’t even go there. I can’t and I won’t. So congratulations to the happy couple!!!"

Bearded Ladies and Men in Skirts.

'"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but how far his beard hangs over his chest." -Martin Luther King Jr.'

Over at Busted Tees you can get this handy Beard Ruler tee for $20. I must say that what makes this tee even better is the fact that it isn't just marketed towards the most common beard growers: men.
THEN Busted Tees gets another 10 cool points for this tee pictured below. (Plus the fantastic descriptions they have for their tees [quoted below each picture])

“Oh man, they replaced the ‘Men Wearing Skirts’ door.”

Happy or Sad.

My Paper Crane makes these adorable plushies! You can get happy tp like the above, sad used tissue like below, or many different happy veggies, sad burnt toast or modly bread, and even a get well pill the comes in its own bottle! I spotted the happy little whole milk carton on my morning etsy perusal and just fell in love these little characters made by Heidi Kenney.

(I think the pic above is brilliant.)

Coffee Lens

or in my case a Hot Chocolate Lens!

Finally there is Nikon lens look-a-like mug like the Canon mug that came out awhile back! (not an official Nikon product but who cares!)
Supposedly if you click here you can buy this sweet little beverage receptacle for a mere $23 buckaroos. Now if only I had the actual 24-70mm lens to match... or any other lens for that matter ;)

Mama + 2 Peeps

Now normally I am not a fan of wall appliques... but this little mama and her two chicks is too cute to ignore.
(I managed to use all three to/too/twos in that sentence. nice.)

Then there is this flighty family...

For the modern dolls.

Holy cow. Do I love this. Of course, for $855 I could build my own modern doll house at least ten times over...

"The Sirch Villa Sibi Dollhouse transforms traditional dollhouse playtime into the magical world of cool pretending with a modernist, wooden dollhouse design that echoes today's emerging ideas for dwellings."

Today I learned...

why I think I will enjoy teaching. And... teacher lounges are for people that don't like kids. ;)
This video is of a boy named Dalton Sherman and he makes me want to teach. He is only 10!

Is 3D dead yet?

There is a great little article on Gizmodo on the sinking sales of 3D movies in theaters. This... pleases me. 3D finally managed to make TV bad for your eyes. Mom and dad aren't telling you to not sit so close to the TV just because it annoys them anymore!

And to add a perky cherry on top, Threadless has a pretty gnarly tee for 18 bucks. (see photos to verify the tee's gnarlyness) Then for those of us who think it is ridiculous that movies have gone up to $10 a show, do we really want to add another 3-5 dollars on to that? No thanks, I will just buy it for $15 when it comes out on DVD!

A unique strap that holds your cap.

August Blossom's makes adorable camera straps with nifty lens pockets! (Perfect for the photographer that happens to wear pocket-less skirts, pants, shorts, or tops!)
She also makes wrist straps for only $12 like the one below.

Flower Alternative

nuala's flowers
Thanks to Princess Lasertron and her feltastic flowers I was able to finally create a beautiful flower for my clutch (pictured last)! I saw this photo on Offbeat Bride and fell a tidbit in love. You can have her make all your wedding flowers (bouquets and corsages) or you can buy a bouquet kit here for $130 and make it yourself.

bridesmaids bouquets for abby
This is another bouquet she made for somone's bridesmaid!

fact: this flower is the only part of this clutch that didn't make me want to shave my head and let someone poke it with my multicolored stick pins
