Paintings for Camera Eyes Only.

"Toronto-based artists Brad Blucher and Kyle Clements have an exhibition titled “Take a Picture” which features paintings that are invisible to the human eye but visible to cameras. To do this, they use a frequency of light that is outside the visible spectrum but visible to the CCD and CMOS sensors found in digital cameras."

Here is a video about it... or I assume so. I haven't watched it because I don't have sound anymore...

By Cats.

I need a collar cam for my cat... Haven't you ever wondered what they do all day? If they go everywhere they aren't allowed to when you are home? If they jump off the 2nd floor railing into the living room? If they secretly cuddle with the dog?

Mesmerizing.

TimeScapes: Rapture from Tom Lowe @ Timescapes on Vimeo.

The only thing I seem to be able to say her is : "Woo pretty."

In case you are like me and have never seen the other two previews here they are:

Timescapes: "Death is the Road to Awe" from Tom Lowe @ Timescapes on Vimeo.

Behind the Scenes: Timelapse Crane from Tom Lowe @ Timescapes on Vimeo.

All those stars make me miss college, and Lake Bryan, and cold nights, and friends.

Whoopsy Daisy.

Chris Beckman’s “Oops” — winner of the 2010 Vimeo Awards in the Experimental category — a strangely compelling montage of people dropping their cameras.

It's long but oddly addicting.

Pixilation Project.

DAY DRUNK from Eric Hanus on Vimeo.

"The project was shot on a Bolex NonRelfex 16mm film camera. It was done this spring along with Jeremy and Russell (in the credits) for an Advanced Experimental Film Production class. Instead of going for an abstract, art-house type project, our goal was to create a narrative using a rarely seen experimental technique; pixilation. Since the camera is designed for 16mm motion pictures, we had to disengage the motor and manually trigger the camera to advance one frame at a time." Eric Hanus

Pentax Skins.

"Pentax also announced the RS1000, a camera that comes with a clear faceplate that allows you to use customized skins. The camera ships with 11 different skins included, and also a program called Pentax Personal Skin Designer that allows you to design and print your own skins."

If I ever cheat on Nikon it will probably be with Pentax. Why you say? Duh! Look at all the colors. The colors Duke the Colors!

Too bad all of the DSLRs are equivalent to the Nikon I already have.

Light Play.

I can't wait to try this. Oh man, but what shape should I create? I guess that will be determined by my cutting skill...

Lens Love.

Much better than a ring box. At least I think so, but maybe not everyone loves photography or met in a Flikr chat room like these two.
I would say yes to a ring in a Lensbaby...

Wedding Bliss.

Max, Margaux, & The Marvelows from Shark Pig on Vimeo.

Yup. I love everything about this video and the wedding it contains. I mean there were blankets for picnics, tiny sewn hearts, messages in bushes, well wishes written on fabric, and lots of love and smiles.

Coffee Lens

or in my case a Hot Chocolate Lens!

Finally there is Nikon lens look-a-like mug like the Canon mug that came out awhile back! (not an official Nikon product but who cares!)
Supposedly if you click here you can buy this sweet little beverage receptacle for a mere $23 buckaroos. Now if only I had the actual 24-70mm lens to match... or any other lens for that matter ;)

A unique strap that holds your cap.

August Blossom's makes adorable camera straps with nifty lens pockets! (Perfect for the photographer that happens to wear pocket-less skirts, pants, shorts, or tops!)
She also makes wrist straps for only $12 like the one below.

Beware: Booby Strap Ahead.

BLACKRAPID - RS-W1 - Basic Setup & Features from BLACKRAPID on Vimeo.

"the RS-W1 is the world's first camera strap that focuses on the perfect fit for the female"

Some curvature for your aperture. This genius design allows for the camera strap to rest where nature intended, right between the lady bumps. Then the feminist in me appreciates the fact that it is black/grey with only a little frou frou, and that they resisted making it pink or purple!
You can buy it here sometime this month for a er.. mere $59!

They call me a cheapass, I prefer frugal.

The first time I heard this song was under 5 minutes ago. I think I like it. I know I love that it was made on a $500 budget! It reminds me of Ok Go's "Here It Goes Again" video in it's simple magnificence. The only way this video could have been better is if it was shot with a Nikon instead of the Canon 5D Mark II. wink.

For the clean photography lover.

Over at etsy (yep, two glorious etsy finds in one day) stinkybomb makes a squeaky clean camera..er I mean soap, soap that looks like a point and shoot camera!

Perfect for photographers that get a little dirty. wink.

They also make "the original grenade soap" and a cassette tape.
